Thor's Child -Updated thru Chapter 11

Post by GBLW »

Well, I went into the hospital again on Tuesday, and saw 3 different Opthalmologists, several doctors and countless nurses, but more important, after last week's treatment, I could see enough to type. On top of that I wasn't kept in a darkened room and I was able to bring along a laptop (just as long as it didn't have Wifi capability!) -- so I was able to finish Chapter 11. FINALLY!

Thank you! I am glad your vision is improving, here's hoping it will continue to do that steadily.

The new chapter is nice. At one point, I thought there was too much "snapping" by the girls (at lunch), but I guess a strong PMS explains that.
I see you the story is starting to address the puzzle of Tor's subdued puberty.

Methinks Tor should learn a few "real" magic tricks, to demonstrate, if pressed, that it's all prestidigitation tricks.

On another topic, I wonder if his dislike of offensive Taekwondo is somehow related to his talents. I recall in L.E. Modesitt's Recluce novels, (some of) the Order adepts were superb at defense, but were nearly useless at attack.

To quote a long dead author -- (whose name is lost in the mists of memory) -- "Patience, little one, and all will be explained."

ah that would be a problem... time to invest in a 2nd computer, or just a netbook or something.

In this case, even as the author, I can't help you -- you see I didn't write the last chapter in text -- I wrote it directly in .html, then zipped and posted it. (unfortunately, I posted it without editing and I've already heard about a few glitches I didn't catch.)

KP

PS; Send me PM if .html will work for you and I'll try to upload it to an e-mail in that format.

Glad the eyesight is getting better and for the new chapter.....keep it coming. This is my enjoyment with me having cancer and not being able to walk...love it so far.....something I use a lot is Dragon to read to me and to type when I can't get up. Hope to see more soon.

Thanks for the great chapter! I am glad you are feeling a bit better and able to write a bit. Don't work too hard, we will just have to wait patiently for the next chapter. (Yeah, like that's going to happen! )
I'm not completely mad, there are bits missing!
