Does anybody have a link to a site(s) that have good time travel stories?

I've read through a lot of the ones at SOL like twice lucky or some of the ones where people go back to a neolithic age, but was wondering if there was a site other than SOL (or your favorite stories on SOL*) that had this type of story? I read through a bunch of eric flint and the conrad stargard series and just have a hankering for more going back in time stories. Thanks for any help all, I've often enjoyed the suggestions that you all have put on this thread.

Thanks in advance!
~Michael

On that site I just posted about this last week there is a good TT story called Weapons of Choice. This one takes a Multinational Naval TaskForce back in time from the 2020's to 1942 right before the battle of Midway.

SoL is the only website that I can think of off the top of my head that had any worth reading time travel stories. There was a decent Ranma Fanfiction story : http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2574681/1/Exact_Change which was quite fun to read.

How do you feel about Alternate history fics? There is this really amazing story http://alternatehistory.com/discussion/ ... p?t=113866 called A World of laughter, A World of Tears, that speculates on how America might have changed had Walt Disney been elected president instead of Ike. Very well thought out and quite amazing. There are other stories on that site of similar nature.

There are some story links at http://do-over.wetpaint.com/ (for stories like Twice Lucky) and http://do-over.wetpaint.com/page/Far+Past+Time+Travel (for stories more like the Crosstime Engineer).

I'm assuming that you have read the 1632 series by Eric Flint, if you haven't go to the fifth Imperium site and that whole series is about time travel, but this isn't about that per se. What it is about is the Grantville gazette that Eric Flint also puts out dealing witht he 1632 series. As you may or may not know alot of the stories in the Grantville Gazette is Fan Fiction. Thats right Eric Flint lets people play in his universe with basically the only stipulations being, don't be suprised if the character you invent ends up being used by him in the main story arc and you can't change already established characters and events. Now here is the kicker you can submit you stories to him through the Baen Bar website in the section 1632 Slush Pile. Basically its put up there to be read. So in that section you have many stories some make it to the Gazette, some don't but if you are looking for something to read there you go more time travel Fan Fic. Oh btw for any that want to give th writing side a try, if they want to print your writing in the Gazette, Eric pays you for it at professional rates.

Another trick is to go to Baen's Webscriptions and look at Eric Flints page. It contains listings for every Gazette they put out. Now if I remember right it is only like 4 or 5 that you can read the total things free at the Fifth Imperium site, however each one of the Gazatte listing you can read sample chapters of it. Since Gazette is built on Short Stories, since each Short is only a chapter in length you are getting free stories.

This is Random Houses version of the Baen Free Library. I haven't looked completely through it yet, but have noticed such authors as: Arthur C. Clarke, Anne McCafferty and Ben Bova listed.
Thanks for the link. I found a couple of interesting books there.

Does anybody know where I can find the story about a superhero named the Gryffin? I think it's set in Chicago but it was a long story filled with superheroes and villains and it sadly ended abruptly in a cliffhanger where the hero gets resurrected while two of his team lay dead after facing a cybervillain.

Sounds like "Program Alpha-Omega" by Net Wolf (I think). I think the site I originally found it at isn't around anymore but I'll look around and see if I can find it elsewhere.

edit: found it. http://www.wolfpub.org/contributors/sho ... i=43&cid=3

Net Wolf changed his pen name to Eric Storm.

That's the one! thanks! I want to read it again but I also don't. If I can find the author in real life, I'd throw wads of cash at him just to continue writing this. By wads, I mean single dollars, Canadian even.

On that note, know any good original superhero fiction? Something along the lines of Fel's epic fantasies, and rangermike's epic sci-fi operas (A Spartan's War). Just a really long read that'll force me to move the fridge to the bathroom...

There are a whole bunch of stories like this. It originated with "pendragon's" masterpc series:

You can also find similar stories at:

Warning, both sites are NSFW

If you haven't read it yet there is ShadowofMoonlites two Dreamweaver books that can be found on SOL and Gina's site. It's a little off the beaten path for a "hero" story but very good.
http://www.beyondthefarhorizon.com/

There is Moonblades stories on his site: The three Book New Federation stories, the Traveling Science Project stories and works by other authors.
http://forum.newfederation.net/

Then there is the two Baen sites full of free mainstream fiction if you haven't checked that out
http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/
http://www.baen.com/library/

There is the shared MORF's universe:

unfortunately the geocities is closing and we won't be able to read again this story. I was 4/5 through it and now I can't finish.
I hope somebody downloaded it offline. :(

Ok. Found it on http://web.archive.org/web/200801171501 ... fonseyrie/
