Lochar, I have used your icon from profile as basis for creating Mozilla-style 16x16 favicon (i.e. png, via LINK element in HEAD) in the main index page (book index), table of contents for each book (e.g. Tower of Sorcery and the one cleaned up chapter, i.e. Tower of Sorcery - Chapter 1.

BTW, what the colors should be?

The three shaeram

icole's doesn't work.  I don't think you can link directly to the graphic.

Also, on a happier note.  I finally got my site off of my personal computer and onto another one.  So even if I do lose my computer again, you guys won't have to suffer with me.

SAA#1[sup]x)[/sup]: Works for me. I can see all three images in my previous post. BTW. favicon is for all to take and use.
Copy of icole's graphics on my site (rescaled here):

Code: Select all

Please remember, that my site is not up round the closk, so there might be times where those images would not bee seen.

Ah that one.  I was going to steal it and turn it into a weavespinner pic, but I sucked at trying to make the legs spin out from the center.  The green band needs to be thicker though.

Now I cannot see this graphics. This might mean that you will see the linked graphics from icole site only if you have visited this site. Geocities...

<hr>I have played with my simple perl script (save it in the file and next view it; I'm new at Apache configuration and cannot get this file to have MIME type <tt>text/plain</tt> and not be viewed as HTML; maybe it is interpreted as HTML because it contains <html> tag) which generates table of contents for each book (e.g. index for Honor and Blood, 3rd book of Firestaff Series).

Any comments? :-*

Mozilla (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) of course. I will have to install LiveHTTPHeaders add-on and check if this script is actually presented with text/plain Content-Type.

Shadowhawk, the colors for the Shaeram came from chapter 7 of Tower when Tarrin and Dar first walkin the Heart.

It was that description by which I first made the original Shaeram picture

Note to those of you that still link directly to my IP.  Thanks to a Ping of Death attack that hit my router, I had to reconfig.  http://68.1.48.20:2999 now.  That, and I turned off pings to my router.  Damn it all.

Not a problem. Or at least, not until the cable company comes and yells at me for it. *grin*

So does anyone know about how Fel feels about backup sites? I recently got my webserver running and was thinking of making my own backup. However I'd prefer having Fel's approval before I made the site.

I have asked Fel this question on IRC with regard to my backup site, on my own computer, http://193.0.122.19:8010/sennadar/, and he told me that as long as the copuright is explicitly stated, everything is O.K.

Thanks a lot Shadowhawk, if thats the case I'll try and have a new backup site up by the end of the month. Since some of you were asking about search I'll see if I can implement that.

But I'm making no promises as I do have summer school and a exam to study for.

As I live in the Florida panhandle area, with Hurricane Ivan about to barrel down on us, don't be too surprised if my site starts bouncing.  If it hits, I'll keep you guys updated.
