This has been a really educatinal thread to me, though I would say that over there as well as over here some times the people in governement should really be forced to cut their business ties during the duration of their term in office.

Secondly some of the things that lobby groups want really has no business being foisted on the rest of the people. It would seem that some parties had an interest in making more "easy" money so they had the regulations changed to allow them to loan to those who can't afford it, then they reposse and resell. Well if only a handful fail to pay then they make money. Unfortunately it became more than a handful and as a result all that liquid cash is tied to assets that are now losing their values like crazy.
