Over on mobileread.com you can get the "Monthly Baen Bundle" that includes those e-books for free. Baen lets you gift a copy of the bundle of books when you buy one, so people set up a chain to continue re-gifting the bundles until someone messes up the chain. I've found a ton of good authors thanks to all of the freebies Baen offers, and spend more money there than Amazon for books.

July 2012 bundle which includes Elfhome: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showth ... light=baen
August 2012 chain that includes Queen of Wands: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showth ... light=baen

I haven't read any of them yet though.
Yea, that one, but it's not finished.
And after 7 or 8 years, I don't think that it's ever going to get finished.

John Ringo! WoooOOOoooT! Okay John is working on a New Prince Roger, which picks up where the last book left off. There is another Ghost book in the works (Tiger by the tail). He is also working on... wait for it.... a new Zombie Apocalypse book/series.

At the moment I really want another Citadel novel. However the snippets for the Zombie Apocalypse book are fabulous! If you haven't read them run over to Johns FB page and catch up. Seriously this book looks to be hilariously crazy funny! "...first book in the series, Under a Graveyard Sky, Baen Sept 2013." Launch date for John Ringo's Zombie Apocalypse series. UGH! Tis a long time to wait!

So far this looks like an awesome series. Not sure what John is doing, but the new character he's created is named "Faith." Already from the snippets John has posted on his FB page this book looks to be a barrel of laughs. You'll just have to head over and check out the snippets because I'm not going to even try and describe this new character of Johns.

If we are talking about the fanfic book The Kildaran, you can read it starting here: http://thekildaran.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

The last chapter (55) was changed once or twice. So, when you get there you will probably want to skip the first two postings and read the third.

If we are talking about a new Ringo novel in the Paladin of Shadows series, that is book 6, Tiger by the Tail, and is rumored to be published in 2013 as a 400 page hardcover.

I'm trying to find out about an author by the name of Jennifer N. Julian. She used the nickname of Azure Dragon. Several years ago she wrote a series of books about dragon seekers. I've been trying to locate any of her stories and can't seem to find her anywhere. They were a very good series and I would love to read them again...

"Azure Dragon" gets so many hits as to be useless.

"Jennifer N. Julian" gets this page:
http://www.angelfire.com/nc3/dragonjen/home.html which might be the correct person.

No stories, however there is an email address that might work.

PS: You might mention where you orignally read the stories. :)

I'd recommend the following:

The Years of Chaos by Mya von Dor - a decent esper book. books 2 and 3 are still raw, i'd recommend reading it only if you want to know where the characters go. http://www.fictionpress.com/u/361693/

The Galactic Chronicles Series by Vanessa Ravencroft - very good space opera. http://www.fictionpress.com/u/539273/

The Ghost and the Recluse by Dual Writer - very good contemporary story, a lot like Kit http://storiesonline.net/s/71089

Human Phoenix by Refusenik - very good second chance story http://storiesonline.net/s/71277

Virgil Lee Fuqua III has a couple of interesting contemporary SF/fantasy stories at either http://vlfouquet.wordpress.com/ and http://vlfouquetintotheshadows.wordpress.com/.

The Private by Random Writings - a very good story, a lot like Starship Troopers, but with lizards http://storiesonline.net/s/69860

Anything by Lazlo Zalezac http://storiesonline.net/a/Lazlo_Zalezac

A Fresh Start by rlfj is a very good do-over story. http://storiesonline.net/s/68384

I also highly recommend Robert Schroeck's Drunkard Walk metaseries. Read it if you want to see crossover fanfic done right.
You can find it http://www.accessdenied-rms.net/index.shtml.

I am also a big fan of Ringo's. His homepage is: http://www.johnringo.net/

It looks like has changed a lot recently. There used be commentary on his opinion on some subjects. They were great to read.

Vanessa Ravencroft and Dual Writer really need a good editor though. Their writings have good potential, but the conversations between characters seems very scripted most of the time. Lazlo Zalezac has this problem too some times, but rlfj is pretty good about avoiding it. Of the four rlfj has the best writing technique.

Most of Vanessa Ravencroft stuff is written like something you expect from college freshmen; which is a shame as the stories have so much that appeal to very broad groups. If a good editor were to come along and help these stories out everyone would be better for it.

Lazlo Zalezac starts off strong and then tends to suffer horrendously from ADD. It would be funny if it weren't so sad, these stories start very well and tend to wander around before continuing on, but then so do I, so it works for me.

RougePsyker over at fanfiction.net is a pretty good author, too bad he never finished Toyhammer, but it's worth a read for gits and figgles.
