I'm on page 13.  :P

2 people got fired at work, so I've had to work lots of extra days to cover their shifts.  So, I've had less time to write than I hoped.

Fel,

I'm glad to hear that you're able to still write and still make a living.  It's a good feeling to be able to do both what you need and what you want.  Anyway, can't wait for DB!!   :)

Fel,

This might sound like criticism, and it's not.. well, not entirely...  Sucks that you've had to cover someone's work-hours,  I hope though, that you're getting plenty of overtime pay !!!

Demons Bane Ch1,  I'm curious to know if it moves the story on at all, or if it spends most of its time reviewing the story so far, and re-introducing the main characters?

There is very little rehash, maybe like a page and a half.  It goes straight into plot movement.

Good to hear that, I can hardly wait for the Chapter to be released!!!.

That's the one minor quibble I have noticed with your writing.  Don't get me wrong, on the whole, it's bloomin brilliant, but I have noticed that from time to time during the course of a book, you appear to re-explain things, or re-introduce people.

He only does it in chapter one of a new book, like a good number of other writers who don't just assume that everyone has read the previous books.

That really helps when you pick up a new book in an airport without realizing it's a series...kind of confusing if they don't do that...

Actually, he does it a bit more often than that, although I don't think he realizes he's doing it.  I was rereading the series not too long ago, and I noticed it again.

An example off the top of my head would be the fact I'm pretty sure he explains which types of magic beat other types several times.

And he does reintroduce characters, too.  Sometimes Tarrin seems to go over his entire opinion of a character in his thoughts for some reason, likes he's trying to tell us about the character, even if we know them already.

I like the re-cap, especially because of the time inbetween chapters. It helps the reader keep track of the details
