Re: Inception Ch 9 (spoilers)

do i miss something special about skin to skin contact where jason is concerned ??? 'That was mainly so he couldn’t accidentally make skin to skin contact with any of the Grand Duchesses of the Siann. ' If I remember correctly, skin to skin contact between two telepaths allows full communication an...

Re: Inception Ch8 [Spoilers]

I won't say you're late, but aren't there laws about companies sending you the required documents fairly quickly? "Yeah, they're 'supposed' to get them to you fairly soon, but we're talking about an investment service handling large sums of money for major firms, and my pension is not all that...

Re: Inception Ch8 [Spoilers]

This tactic was used in the first Consortium ambush. Kimdori towed asteroids behind them at very high speed then "bowled" them into the Consortium wave formations. Low tech does not mean ineffective. ;) I did remember that, but was too dang lazy to go back through the whole series to look...

Aw, nutzzz

Sorry to harp on it, but as an old time Heinlein fan I loved his idea of throwing rocks in a space battle (Used in "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.)

Re: Inception Ch8 [Spoilers]

But, will the rocks STAY in hyperspace without an engine to keep them there? arargh Sure they will, until they hit something solid. To quote the old saw, " An object in motion tends to remain in motion. " That's what keeps comets, asteroids and even planets moving in relation to the sun -...

Re: Inception Ch8 [Spoilers]

Opening up a new oyster, there are soooo many things that can happen. Great new chapter sir. As far as using the hyperspace catapult as a weapon, I would think that would depend on if the trajectory of the rocks launched by the catapult could be changed, and of course the range to where the rock wo...

Inception Ch8 [Spoilers]

Is it just me, or does anyone else see that hyperspace catapult as a very effective weapon? Of course its use would depend on actual dimensional data and acceleration factors of the catapult, but just imagine if a series of large rocks were sent through the catapult on an interception course with th...

Re: Thor's Child - complete to Chapter 23

Hi GBLW. Referencing part of your previous comment, if you do decide to post this story elsewhere, might you give those of us who enjoy your work a link? I'm aware of some of your previous work, certainly the dotB stuff and possibly (unknowingly) other stories under other pseudonyms. To me, good wr...

Thor's Child - complete to Chapter 23 Postby GBLW » Wed Jul 04, 2012 9:57 pm That was 2 years ago  Anything NEW? :?: The answer has to be both yes and no - that story and the two others posted on this forum all have chapters partly written - I know where I have to take them to follow my plot l...

Re: Subjugation V: Best Erotic Science Fiction Story 2013

I'm amusedly baffled by this one. Subjugation is meant to be mature but not outright erotica, a line I try to hold by exploring a very adult subject without getting overly explicit. I just find it funny that a story that actively avoids graphic descriptions and whose erotic undertones are a simply ...

Re: Earth Bond, chapter 24.

Fel, in the last year or so my health has dictated that I do a lot more reading than writing and I've just finished re-reading all of your stories. In my opinion 'Earthbond' is the best of them all and the last chapter written is probably the biggest 'cliffhanger' you've left us with too. When you g...

Re: Inception, Chapter 5 [Spoilers]

The Parri have their own agenda on Karis, and most of their plans center around Jason. And as to what the Parri can really do...you'll find out. ;) Now, now! This isn't nice, at all. A teaser like that? Then again, it's you, and you are evil. <fingers crossed> Hopefully we'll see some of ...

Re: Family business

If they are going to add a rail gun it should be like the prototype at Wallops Island, VA a NASA launch facility. Will hurl a 1000 pound, eight inch shell almost two hundred miles. It's the real deal. Going to be used on Aegus cruiser's for littoral warfare (marine invasion stuff). You mean somethi...
