Internet nostalgia

Had nothing to do. Then remembered this:
The Really Big Button That Doesn't Do Anything :)

Good times...

What sites do you remember fondly (or not) and are they still up?

Re: Good Books (Scifi)

This is borderline scifi with a strong F/F part. Jacquiline Carey, Santa Olivia. What if you were a child of a part of a biological experiment, trying to make the ultimate soldier. A soldier without fear. What if you were raised in a town not a part of the nation; a dirty secret. How would it make y...

Re: Lost & Found

Morning all. Long time reader and troll finally saying something. Unfortunately, asking for some help. Read a story a while back about a group of high school students that were abducted, turned into slaves, then genetically and mechanically enhanced. Eventually they return to Earth tracking a colon...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)

A good story. It's part sci-fi, part history happening again. read it. A Acer Custos. Kinda like cmsix but with trying to make it work. (superstructure an all that.)

Re: Earth Bond

This is an opinion more than anything, but mentioning specific tech is a bad idea. It timestamps the story. I remember one story where the main character was boasting on his 'puters by mentioning that they were pentium III. Reading it today would be sad. Tech is the fastest changing industry we have...

How is your winter?

Up here where I live it should be -10 to -15 celsius and at least 20 cm of snow.

What we have though, is +2 and what little snow we had is now melting. It's like spring, but not.

So I was wondering what kind of winter others were having. Is it normal or as funky as ours?

Re: Online stories

I expected a lot more controversy on this thing.

Why aren't there anyone defending the opposite?

Is this so clearcut?

Please tell why an opposing side of view could be right?

I'm not doing this for flaming purposes; I just want to understand the thinking behind it.

Online stories

I've been browsing several different sites for reading and recently I've been pretty much been overwhelmed by sites that have been begging for my contribution in one way or another. I won't mention others than Online writers I've been following for a long time want contributions. I'm basically a lur...

Found out when I was browsing SOL, that Volentrin has passed away march first. For those who read his stories, please read the latest blog on his account. (I'd add the url, but don't know how).

About the new story

I do like it, I gotta say. But... There is some sorta urgency that keeps popping in on the story. I'm always waiting for something to happen and it's driving me to destraction. It's a good start so far, but I'm waiting for the guns to blaze and I don't think I'm supposed to be. For a romance story t...
