Re: Hey Fel, by Turkey day?

This will sound like sacralige, but normally I check everyother to every third day. In the case of months between chapters, I might check once a day. About the same here, but even less often. The next chapter of Tarrin's adventure will get here when it gets here. Thankfully, the Baen Free CDs have ...

Re: My kingdom for a graphic artist.

Were he still living, he would be wearing his amulet and have his brands. wow, now that's a major spoiler there... :) anyway, somehow i fear this whole artwork stuff since _my_ picture of tarrin will definitely get mangled quite badly... :? Hmmm ... how to say this without posting a spoiler ... Don...

Re: Average word count length of each book?

Or a few CDs like the Bean free CDs. HTML version of Firestaff Series and Sennadar Cronicles on my site is below 25MB (there are some stray DOC files...). So I think that 1 CD would be enough But there wouldn't be enough room for the nudes of Kimmie! <grin> Seriously, I was thinking along the lines...

Re: My kingdom for a graphic artist.

Seriously. I need to find someone good at freehand illustration, and I've had little luck with the people I know at university. They either want to "stylize" Tarrin or "cutesy" him. I've not been satisfied with the sketches the 3 artists I know here who took a hand at it after I...

That should bring it down to only, oh 10 volumes? :)

Fel, I will soon be purchasing another month's Baen WebScription and will hopefully get another free one. I need an email contact for you. I couldn't give you the first free Baen WebScription I received since I don't have an email contact for you. Edited to add my email address: jbstolin@att.net -- ...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 1)

<snip> I've got a bit more bandwidth on hand than the FifthImperium site (about 248GB/month available at the moment, increasing by 2GB/week), and I'm using less than 20GB/month over about 4 active sites - so if people want to download all the CDs, go for it :) I keep an eye on the bandwidth usage, ...

I agree. I see a way for Tarrin to win the fight with Spyder by not winning. That is not a paradox and no, it doesn't require intervention by Mother Wynn.

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 1)

Thank you very much. The "Fifthimperium" web site has a notice up that they are having record traffic and may have their speed throttled. People ... please don't get greedy and overload the Sennadar web site also. One a day should suffice but I really don't think you will make it through ...

If you look at the jpgs of the CDs themselves they state "Notice: This disk and its contents may be copied and shared, but NOT sold. All commercial rights reserved." Qoute taken from the At All Costs CD http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/09-AtAllCostsCD/AtAllCostsCD.jpg Granted that photo...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 1)

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't have read the web site legal disclaimers since I shouldn't/don't/won't/can't visit web sites offering anything that offers copies of CDs. As a business owner and software author, I simply can't affort the risk of anything that hints of piracy. Some of us "old f...
