Re: Demon Power Structure
During the battle, Tarrin did learn a Wizard spell by listening to the dragon, but it was one that confused the senses, not Teleportation. He discovered how to Teleport when remembering the Sha'Kar mentioning it, and the Weave responded by showing him how to do it by Sorcery. He used it to Teleport ...

Re: Demon Power Structure
Bu the way, you do remember that Tarrin knows Wizardry short-range Teleport spell, from his encounter with red dragon Firestaff Guardian? I wonder if it works on Pyrosia. It would help immensely in fight with shadow dragon, if it isn't a demon with innate Teleporting, in which case Tarrin would nee...

Re: Relationships issues
After thinking about it for a while, I know how Rallix will get to be inmortal. He can become a priest of Kikkalli, quite easily I can say. He was a sailor and a succesful merchant, two things Kikkalli will surely appreciate. Miranda can put in a favorable word(which will a good thng, considering s...

Re: Learning Elemental magic
Can Elemental magic be learned like Wizard magic? I was under the impression that it is an innate gift, similar to Sorcery and Druidic magic. Or is Tarrin gifted in all forms of magic, even those not native to Sennadar?

About the Red Dragon....Spoiler
When Tarrin battles the red dragon on Sha'Kari, it uses Wizard magic against him. If Wizard spells fade from the mind after-on average-a few days, how did the dragon still remember them? Did he have a spellbook in the cave, or can dragons remember spells for longer periods or time, or maybe it was a...

Re: Miscellaneous Magic Queries
Everyone, thanks for the answers. One more question: I've seen some similar posts around, but have any of the Sennadar stuff been converted to a standardized system (D&D or such)? I'd be especially interested in the spellcasting orders.

Miscellaneous Magic Queries
Rather than clog the forum with question posts, I'll just list them here. 1) Can Druids make magical items, with or without the assistance of a Sorcerer? 2) Do Wizards and Priests have discernable power levels in the way that Sorcerers and Druids do (Normal Sorcerers and da'shar , Druids and Hierarc...

Wizard Magic on and off Sennadar
Why is Wizard magic dependent on the Weave on Sennadar? It seems to function fine on Pyrosia without a Weave to carry it, as well as in the Astral and the other planes, but on Sennadar it needs the Goddess to channel it. Also, can it be used to heal, and if not, why? Finally, I know that Wizards can...

Re: World Creation
Hope it helps to know you are not the only one.... And I just have to ask it... Is that why you call yourself "The NAMER?" That, and it refers to a magic system I've been working one (unrelated to the worlds). Thanks again to everyone for the advice. I've spent the last few days of free t...

Re: World Creation
Thanks to ye both. My greatest problem lies in the creation of a map. My artistic talents would embarass a five-year old, so it takes me a long time to get it right. Another quick question: Do you find it difficult to come up with names? Some just seem to flow out, but others stymie me for days, and...

Re: Is there a God?
I've gotta agree with Finn here. The idea needs better grounding, so either A)surrender or B)come up with counter-arguments. On a related note: If seeing is believing, is Ray Charles an atheist?

World Creation
I've been fiddling with two worlds for a while, and was looking for some general advice. Does anyone here have any suggestions that might aid this kind of effort? I've got a fair amount of info on both already, but would appreciate any assistance.

Intro, Congrats and a Question
I'd just like to say hi to everyone here at the forum, and give my congradulations on a truly masterful series. I've only just begun Weavespinner, but everything so far has been extremely well-written. I do, however, have a question. To what extent was the Firestaff quintet influenced by other works...
