Books

  • Start uploading book content as Fiferguy (and possibly others) complete cleaning/converting it.
  • Write basic reviews of each book (contributions welcome)

Notes re book content

  1. Get base clean HTML for each book
  2. Create/alter/etc basic styles (if needed),
  3. Create TOC
  4. Produce archive HTML (zipped, TOC, embedded CSS in zip, link to next chapter/toc)
  5. Produce online HTML (by chapter, TOC=index.html, link to next chapter/toc, CSS=/style/book.css)
  6. Produce MS Word base (TOC, etc)
  7. Produce MS Reader from MS Word
  8. Produce other rich-text formats from MS Word

Basicly, each book will have

  • A quick summary of what the book is about — like the blurb on the back of a real book.
  • Link to the wiki page for more information
  • Downloads
    • Entire Book (if not in-progress) in many formats (zipped)
      Initially, perhaps these formats:
      • HTML, with simple embedded CSS. - One file per chapter, plus a TOC file, and each file linking to the next.
      • MS Word, with TOC
    • Read Online in HTML, with shared simple CSS - One file per chapter, plus a TOC file. Each file linking to the next.
